I'm going to be an Aunt! [Oct. 17th, 2005|06:41 pm]

I just got the call today. My husband's (and it still feels weird to call him that) oldest sister went into labor sometime last night. My mother in law told me that the doctors are guessing the baby will be here sometime around midnight! I think it's pretty exciting, since it's the first time I'll officially get to have a brand new nephew. I'm wishing my sister in law all the best of luck, and I hope her delivery goes well. I can't wait to see pictures of the new baby!

A friend of mine sent me this link. It's quite hilarious, and it sums up my current feelings for the 2004 presidential elections. Even better, it sets them to the music of "The Rocky Horro Picture Show." Check it out!

Not too much to say right now. My first post was looking a little lonely, so I thought I'd give it a friend to keep it company. I've got to run soon to let out my soon to be sister in-law's wookies (her two malamutes- they sound like wookies when they talk to you) outside, so I'm wrapping this up. That and my other half is wondering why I just asked him if we are leaving soon, if I am typing on the computer. I hope that made sense. . . ::gryns::

I hadn't intended to be part of livejournal, but now that I have one, I should probably use it.

Okay, some basic things about myself. I'm 23. I live in Minnesota. I'm a laboratory technician for a blood bank. I work in the NAT (nucleic acid testing) lab of said blood bank. (It's way fun!) I have a BS degree in Biology from UW-River Falls. I'm engaged to be married next August. And I'm working at getting in to Veterinary School.

It's not much about me, but I don't feel like getting to specific at the moment. I don't know how much I'll actually use my journal. I hardly ever write in my paper one anymore. But I'll give it a shot.
